Holidays in Conero by bike

Pedalling where the mountains meet the sea

As H. G. Wells once wrote, “Cycle tracks will abound in Utopia”, and we like to think you’ll find that utopia on the Riviera del Conero. With its gentle, rolling hills and fields of grain, olive groves, and vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, the countryside of the Marche region seems to have been made for cycling, transforming any cycle ride into an experience of pure sensory pleasure. The scent of lavender, the brightly coloured broom, and the song of the cicadas will guide you through the different facets of Conero: from its fields, through the pinewoods, right to the sparkling blue sea. And after a good pedal, recharge your batteries with the delicious, local bean dish “’ngreccia” which is rich in vitamins, accompanied by a glass of Colli Pesaresi DOC wine.

Routes on two wheels

During your holiday in Conero, rent a bike at Natural Village Resort and embark on an exciting adventure of ascents and descents! Now is the time to soak up the sun while your bike flies along the most beautiful cycle paths of the Marche coast. Don’t forget to make a stop at our minimarket to stock up on food and drink before setting off on an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Conero.

Here are some of our favourite routes:

  • “Due Sorelle” route: challenging route suitable for expert cyclists that starts in Marcelli di Numana, leading through Sirolo before reaching the Passo del Lupo, from where you can admire a breathtaking panoramic view of the Due Sorelle.
  • “Viewpoint” route: route of medium difficulty that departs from Sirolo and crosses the whole of Mount Conero before arriving at the magnificent viewpoint with its panoramic view of Portonovo bay.
  • “Along Potenza river” route: an easy route from Porto Recanati alongside the Potenza river to San Firmiano Abbey on the slopes of Montelupone.
  • “Hillside castles” route: route of medium difficulty that starts in Osimo and leads through the Ripa Bianca Nature Reserve in a landscape that is strewn with ancient castles.
  • “Riviera del Conero and Colli dell’Infinito” route: a long cycle route that passes through the main villages of the Riviera del Conero, from Sirolo to Ancona, from Recanati to Porto Potenza Picena, before reaching Loreto and Osimo.
