Conero nature reserve and National Park of Monti Sibillini

When it appears on the horizon, you’ll recognise the National Park of Monti Sibillini instantly. Why, you ask? Because of its peaks, carved by glaciers and over 2,000 metres high, its brightly coloured slopes, or perhaps because of its wild charm. Amongst its steep peaks, dense forests, and broad valleys, you might run into chamois and ibex, or have the chance to admire majestic golden eagles. From amongst the gentians, edelweiss, and colourful lentil fields rises Mount Vettore, the highest of the Sibillini mountains, where the legendary prophetess Sibilla is said to have lived. While you’re there, don’t miss the Lame Rosse (Red Blades) and the charming Lake Fiastra.
