How does it feel to bike along wonderful Riviera del Conero? The sea glistens under the first rays of the sun, the scents of the unspoilt nature of Conero Natural Park are in the air, and the hillside path, at times shaded by the branches of trees, offers enchanting views of the sheer cliffs above the sea.

“What else could we possibly wish for?”, says Alain. As soon as he finishes the sentence, the pretty village of Ofagna welcomes them with its old-fashioned atmosphere and a delicious crescia (typical focaccia from the Marche region), perfect for a refreshing break. Now Alain and Andrea have the right energy to finish the circular trail they’ve programmed.

Not every day you get to experience an exciting adventure on two wheels together with a former professional cyclist! Alain and Andrea have the pleasure of meeting Andrea Tonti, who guides them to discover the most beautiful cities in the Marche region and the historical and natural treasures of this bike-friendly area. Together, they bike through the old streets of Potenza Picena, Macerata, Recanati, and Porto Recanati, retracing a large part of the Grandfondo 5MILA Marche. Highlight: a coffee break and an ice-cream at the medieval borough of Montelupone. A day to remember!

Last day, expectations are higher than ever for the two cyclists. Alain and Andrea say goodbye to the sea and get ready to explore the mountain side of the Marche region. They head toward Caccamo and start a breathtaking and at times challenging trail to Sibillini Mountains National Park. Fresh and clean air, the peace of nature, and the wild beauty of the Apennines.

“Do you want to stop and eat a sandwich?”, asks Andrea. So the two have a little stopover at a small bar in Morichella. Great choice! Now they can start again!

What a thrill when Alain and Andrea manage to reach the highest point: from there the view of the nature park is spectacular! Happy and satisfied, our two friends get back on their bikes and set off on their way back. When they arrive at Natural Village Resort, the enjoy a last aperitif at Seaside lounge bar with sea view and dream about their next adventure in Riviera del Conero.
